DANCE CENTER POLICIES

Personal Appearance and Dress Code for Dancers
It is important for a student to have the proper materials and proper appearance to start dance training correctly.

Girls: any style, any color leotard and tights should be worn for all classes with the exception of Hip Hop* and proper dance shoes. This may be substituted with a tight fitted tank top and dance shorts.

Boys: Tight fitted t-shirts or tank top  along with shorts above the knee or dance pants and proper dance shoes.

Shoes- Please check with the office for what shoes are required and any other questions regarding attire.

* Hip Hop- Students may wear loose fitting dance sweats, etc. No jeans or shorts. INDOOR SNEAKERS ONLY PLEASE

Attendance
Students are expected to attend ALL of their scheduled classes.  Frequent tardiness and/or absences  hold up the progression of the class as a whole and may necessitate dismissal of the student in question.  If it is necessary for a student to be absent from class, EPIC DANCE CENTER  should be notified in advance.

Make Up Classes
Make up classes are NOT available due to the fact that each class is working on different material. Therefore, students will not benefit from taking an alternate class.  If necessary, a private make-up lesson may be arranged with the instructor or assistant for an additional fee.

*Studio Updates and closings due to weather will go out on the Remind app, by email and on our Facebook page. We do our best to reach everyone in a timely manner, please be sure to be checking these means of communication.

Shows
EPIC DANCE CENTER will hold  an annual Holiday Showcase in December and the End of the Year Recital in June. Students are expected to attend these events.  In addition there are Show rehearsals for all students to prepare for the shows.

Additionally, EPIC DANCE CENTER may offer other performance opportunities throughout the year as they present themselves.  These performances are strictly voluntary, but can provide young dancers with valuable performing experience.
