As the winter season decided to finally kick in, we hope this blog post finds you snug and secure. Over the past week, our region has been hit with relentless lake-effect snow, leading to challenging conditions and travel advisories. In the spirit of transparency and the safety of our dance family, we wanted to share an update on the recent events affecting our studio.
Initially, we decided to close the studio for the first half of the week, anticipating that conditions might improve by Thursday afternoon. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans, and the continuous snowfall forced us to extend our closure for the entire week. We understand the disappointment this brings, particularly as we were looking forward to exciting events like costume try-ons and the kickoff of choreography for our much-anticipated June recital.
Our commitment to the safety and well-being of our dancers and their families guided this decision. To make up for the missed classes this week, we've made adjustments to our schedule. Classes will now be held during February 19-25, 2024, originally designated as our mid-winter break. Kindly update this change on your calendars.
For our dedicated dancers participating in our 5-week workshops, please note that we're extending the workshops by one week to ensure everyone receives the full experience.
We genuinely appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we navigate these weather challenges. The studio may be closed, but our spirits remain high, and we look forward to resuming classes with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
We hope you take advantage of this unexpected break, staying safe and warm in the company of loved ones. Should you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. Our dance community's resilience shines brightest during challenging times, and we thank you for being part of our EPIC family.
